Part of my WIP Elizabeth cosplay from Bioshock Infinite. It's just a blue ribbon with lace over it, and the bird pinned to it. I decided against the actual circle-and-infinity pattern in the game, mostly because I suck at drawing/sewing circles on ribbon -.-
I was wondering, what did you use to make the pendant part? ^^
It's the inside of a bottlecap, and I used pliers to bend it back into a flattened shape
It felt a little weird giving elizabeth the cage choker, since the bird supposedly should represent her being finally free. Felt more appropriate that way But that's fairly interesting looking, good job ^^
Thank you! My sister also picked the cage... she said there was something alluring about the way the cage sort of represented control. After all, "The cage beats everything,"- R. Lutece.
I picked the bird, I just said how it would be weird to give her the cage choker after literally being caged up for most of her life. How is the cosplay coming along ? I kind of want to cosplay Booker but eh he is such a "wardrobe cosplay"
Aaah I see, I misread that. And so far, so good. I have a wig picked out online, but I'm still debating whether or not I should attempt to make the corset, or just buy one, and alter its appearance. I understand what you mean by "wardrobe cosplay". My friend Alex is going as Booker, but thankfully he already has most of the stuff for the cosplay. I wanted to cosplay as Lutece, but I'd buy like... everything -.- and that adds up pretty quickly.
Ah so you are going for the corset outfit rather than the one she is wearing in the beginning of the game. I imagine twins having a field day with the Lutece's I thought about going on this years pax prime with a friend of mine and cosplay the Booker and Liz. But ehh it would end up costing me like 1500$ (since id be paying for both) so not really that good of an idea
Oh my goodness, I wouldn't be willing to shell out that money D: And yeah, I figured the corset outfit would be the more iconic one, even though I do like younger Elizabeth better (she's so adorable and innocent!). I was beyond relieved when my friend said he was going to make his cosplay himself. My other friend is going as Lloyd Irving from Tales of Symphonia, and I have to make that as well :/ But I think it will be worth it, and Lloyd doesn't look too complex.
The money isn't even actually that big of a problem, it's just that ill be moving out in 2 years or so to the other side of the world, so that will be quite costy. I like how she evolved through out the game, and when she put on that cleavage showing corset outfit its like it was a new her (after she killed Daisy)
Yeah, she definitely is different. New outfit--new atitude. She is definitely more solemn and serious with her actions and words, as the game gets more intense. My friend has been talking to me about younger Liz, and I am kind of debating between the two costumes now. When I cosplay, I like to stay in character; as younger Liz, I could be happy, and talk about Paris, and dance a lot when I hear music. But for older Liz, I'm not quite sure how I would act. I guess we'll just see what happens.
